The House of Lords calls for gambling regulations on Loot Boxes

The House of Lords Gambling Committee says video game loot boxes should be regulated under gambling laws and that they will be reviewing the in-game monetisation strategy in the coming months. The Lords say they should be classified as "games of chance" which would bring them under the 2005 Gambling Act.
